The BIO International Convention provides many opportunities for news stories. Complimentary registration, which includes access to most Convention programs, is available to applicants who meet the criteria set forth below. BIO will review submissions in the order they are received and send notification within 48 hours. Instructions for obtaining a complimentary media badge will be sent to all approved media.
- Press credentials are granted for editorial coverage only and may not be used to solicit companies or speakers for advertising, sponsorship, or any commercial purpose.
- Marketing executives, sales representatives, public relations executives, analysts, consultants, authors, and researchers may not register as media. Individuals acting in these capacities may forfeit their media credentials.
- Media credential applications are reviewed annually. Past approval does not guarantee approval for future BIO International Conventions, as all applications are evaluated based on the current credentialing criteria.
- Working members of the press should register prior to the Convention. Pre-registration must be completed by June 1, 2027. Registration on site will be on a case-by-case basis.
