Zdravka Medarova, PhD is Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at TransCode Therapeutics, Inc. Dr. Medarova is a geneticist/ cancer biologist by training and is internationally recognized for her work on non-coding RNA for cancer therapy. She is one of the first to describe the design and application of nanoparticles as carries of siRNA to tumors. Dr. Medarova obtained a B.A. in pre medicine from the University of South Maine in September 1998 and a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of New Hampshire in December 2001. Prior to joining TransCode, Dr. Medarova served as an Associate Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School and an Assistant in Neuroimaging at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
