Yoh Terada

Yoh Terada, Ph.D., is a drug discovery executive and scientist with extensive experience in computational chemistry, chemical biology, and small-molecule drug discovery. He currently serves as Board Member and Chief Scientific Officer of Alivexis, Inc., a technology-driven biotech company advancing novel therapeutics through proprietary molecular simulation and AI-based drug discovery platforms. At Alivexis, he has led the creation of multiple preclinical and clinical candidate-stage programs in oncology and immunology, including the company’s first clinical candidate license-out in 2024. Previously, Dr. Terada spent approximately 20 years at Astellas Pharma, where he held leadership roles in research, innovation management, and external collaboration. He also contributed to the formation and growth of Mitobridge as a resident scientist and board observer, supporting Astellas’ acquisition of the company. His expertise spans platform-based drug discovery, translational strategy, biotech partnering, and portfolio creation across multiple therapeutic areas. Dr. Terada holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from Tokyo Medical and Dental University, and master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Biological Chemistry from the University of Tokyo.
