Yidan Zhang is a seasoned leader in the global biotech sector and a recognized expert in the worldwide advancement of cutting-edge advanced therapies.
Prior to joining VacV, Yidan served as General Manager and Head of Clinical Development at the Shanghai manufacturing facility of ReLive Biotechnologies. He also held the position of Vice President of Global Clinical Development at Angitia Biopharmaceuticals.
Before transitioning to the biotech industry, Yidan built a distinguished 9-year career as a surgeon-scientist at the Musculoskeletal Tumor Center of Peking University People’s Hospital. During this tenure, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where his research focused on the oncologic mechanisms and novel therapeutic agents for osteosarcoma treatment.
Yidan holds a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Peking Union Medical College and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University.
