Yaoyu Yang, PhD, is the Founder and CEO of Cypher AI, an intelligent digital infrastructure company for life sciences R&D. Cypher AI is building AI-enabled systems that help biotech, biopharma, and research organizations unify fragmented scientific data, streamline knowledge workflows, and improve decision-making across the R&D lifecycle.
Dr. Yang brings more than a decade of experience developing software for complex scientific environments, including as a Principal Software Engineer at Ginkgo Bioworks, where he helped build software infrastructure for data-intensive biological engineering workflows. He earned his PhD from the University of Washington and is applying his background in software engineering, AI, and scientific process to help life sciences organizations adopt secure, practical, and workflow-native AI tools that accelerate discovery and improve R&D productivity.
