Wenxian Shi is a researcher at MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) and a PhD candidate in MIT’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Her research interests lie in the general area of machine learning, particularly in representation learning and generative modeling. She was recently lead author on a paper describing VaxSeer, an AI system designed to predict dominant flu strains and identify the most protective vaccine candidates, months ahead of time.
