Valerie is the Executive Director of US Policy and Evidence at Genentech and is accountable for developing sound policy solutions and evidence strategies to shape the external environment to improve equitable access to innovative medicines. Her team’s work focuses on access, value, and affordability within a variety of active policy debates including drug pricing, PBM and physician payment reform, and the 340B program. Before joining Genentech in 2016, Valerie provided strategic consulting services to pharmaceutical, device, and diagnostic companies navigating health policy issues with HHS and Congress. She began her career in health care developing health economic models in support of pharmaceutical launches. Valerie has a MPH from The George Washington University and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a member of the women's varsity rowing team.
