Ulrich Wendt is the Global Head of Business Development for Immunology & Inflammation at Sanofi, overseeing teams in Global Search and Evaluation and Transactions. He and his team have been instrumental in building Sanofi’s industry leading portfolio in immune inflammation, including recent transactions with Kymera Therapeutics, Teva Pharmaceuticals, Recludix Pharma and many others. Prior to his current role Ulrich has built and led business development teams in multiple therapeutic areas including Primary Care, Diabetes/Metabolism and Cardiovascular Disease. Earlier in his career he held roles of increasing responsibility in New Product Planning, Alliance Management and Search and Evaluation and has built 10 years of experience in leading scientific teams in drug discovery supporting multiple therapeutic areas. Ulrich holds a PhD in Chemistry & Biochemistry from Freiburg University, an executive MBA from IMD, Lausanne and has performed postdoctoral work at UC-Berkeley and Genentech.
