Previously, he spent two years as a clinical research associate at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s (UPMC) Hillman Cancer Center, where he worked on clinical trials for hematological malignancies. He studied biology and journalism at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).
