He joined JBA last year. Prior to joining JBA, he was Director-General for Innovation and R&D Policy at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). When he was Director in charge of the biotech industry at the ministry, he established several unique programs, one of which was AMED’s Program for Pharmaceutical Startup Ecosystem. He earned his master's degree from Harvard.
