As Executive Director of the Bioscience Workforce Development Hub at MiraCosta College, Dr. Terri Quenzer leads regional and state initiatives that facilitate alignment of community college bioscience and related programs with employer needs throughout California, including industry experiential learning for students and apprenticeship pathways in food safety compliance, and in microbiology and chemistry quality control. As a Co-PI on the InnovATEBIO grant, Dr. Quenzer is working with NIIMBL and Apprenti to create a database of life science apprenticeship programs in the U.S. She is an Analytical Chemist with over seven years in the pharmaceutical industry, and served on the Biocom Education Committee, as a member of the American Chemical Society’s Chemical Technology Program Approval Committee, and on several college advisory boards. She also hired and managed several interns during her time in the pharmaceutical industry.
