Michelle Campbell is a dedicated caregiver and mother who has firsthand experience with the gene therapy treatment journey. In June 2023, her eight-year-old daughter, Shelby, received Zynteglo to treat beta thalassemia. Michelle and her husband, Adam, who adopted Shelby from China, reside in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The family traveled to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for Shelby’s gene therapy infusion.
