Steven Lo

Steven Lo is President, Chief Executive Officer, and a member of the Board of Directors of Vaxart, a clinical-stage public biotechnology company developing oral vaccines using its proprietary delivery platform. He has 30 years of experience in healthcare, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical industries, including over 15 years in C-suite leadership roles. Prior to joining Vaxart, Mr. Lo served as CEO of Valitor, a private biotechnology company advancing novel technologies for the treatment of vision-threatening diseases. From 2019 to 2022, he was CEO of Zosano Pharma. Earlier, from 2015 to 2019, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Puma Biotechnology where he built and led the company’s global commercialization and business development functions to launch the company’s first product. He previously held the role of Chief Commercial Officer at Corcept Therapeutics, where he established the commercial organization to successfully launch the company’s first product. Earlier in his career, he spent over a decade at Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, holding roles of increasing responsibility across market access, commercial operations, and drug development. His experience spans multiple therapeutic areas, including oncology, endocrinology, ophthalmology, and rare disease. Mr. Lo began his career in the pharmaceutical industry at AstraZeneca, following roles in finance and operations at Kaiser Permanente. He holds a Master of Health Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of California, Davis.
