Dr Lester is a consultant in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. He serves as the medical director of the Mayo Clinic Discovery Oasis project, associate medical director for Contract and Payer Relations and medical director for the Complex Care Program. He served over 8 years as the associate medical director for the Mayo Clinic Department of Business Development as well as over 8 years as the director of the Arizona echocardiography laboratory. He is the founder and Chief Medical Officer of the Mayo Clinic and Arizona State University Alliance for Health Care Accelerator program and a member of the Prix Galien USA awards committee. He joined staff of Mayo Clinic in 1999.
