Dr Stephen Earl is an experienced pharma/biotech business development transactions and partnerships leader with significant expertise in shaping, negotiating and executing licensing and strategic collaboration deals. Stephen is currently Senior Director, Therapeutic Acceleration at UniQuest (technology transfer company of The University of Queensland, Australia) where he drives licensing partnerships for the company’s therapeutic pipeline assets. Prior to this Stephen spent 4 years as Director, Global Business Development & Licensing at global biopharmaceutical company CSL where he was responsible for business development activities to support the immunoglobulin and cardiovascular therapeutic areas and product development teams. Prior to joining CSL, Stephen spent 9 years at UniQuest as Director, Commercialisation where he focused on assessing and licensing intellectual property related to human therapeutics. Before UniQuest, Stephen held R&D and BD roles within two Australian start-up companies focussed on haemostasis and pain management. He has a PhD in biochemistry and Master’s degree in technology and innovation management, both from The University of Queensland.
