Shinji Ogawa, Ph.D., is a board member of Orizuru Therapeutics, Inc. He has also served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since its inception in 2021. He oversees both the strategic direction of the company and the day-to-day operations to ensure organizational efficiency and success. His current focus is on leveraging professional networks and industry connections to create opportunities for partnerships, collaborations, and business development. Prior to his role at Orizuru Therapeutics, he gained extensive experience in drug development and business development, with 15 years at Pfizer and over 5 years at Takeda Pharmaceuticals. In these roles, he served as a seasoned project leader for biologics, oligonucleotides, and small molecule drugs in the US and Japan. He also expanded the R&D portfolio by establishing multi-year partnerships with major academic centers, biotech, and pharmaceutical companies.
