Sherwood (MS CS@UMD, MBA@Duke). He launched his career as a Software Engineer at IBM, where he contributed to ViaVoice—IBM’s first enterprise AI application using natural language processing. He later advanced to Product Manager for the IBM Watson AI platform, transforming patient records into actionable insights for doctors. After founding and successfully exiting his first startup, which developed mobile solutions to help eye doctors monitor children’s vision, Sherwood co-founded Atombio in 2021 with Xing. Under his leadership, the company was accepted into Y Combinator’s Winter 2021 batch and has raised $7M from venture capital and non-dilutive sources including NIH and NSF.
