Sandeep Kunwar, MD

Sandeep Kunwar is the CEO and Co-Founder of Precision NeuroMed and a neurosurgeon and Professor of Neurosurgery at UCSF. He has dedicated his 25 year career to advancing innovative therapies for patients with devastating brain diseases, with a particular focus on glioblastoma and precision drug delivery to the brain. Dr. Kunwar served as Principal Investigator in early-phase and pivotal clinical trials of IL13-PE38QQR for recurrent glioblastoma, where he observed transformative long-term survival in a subset of patients when drug delivery was optimized. These clinical insights, combined with decades of research work from NIH and UCSF, led him to co-found Precision NeuroMed with a highly seasoned team to modernize and standardize targeted drug delivery through next-generation technology and AI-driven, personalized biodistribution planning software. At Precision NeuroMed, he is leading the development of a capital-efficient clinical path to establish a new standard of care in glioblastoma while building a scalable platform for disease-modifying therapies across CNS disorders.
