Robyn Bent, MS

Robyn Bent is the Director of Patient Focused Drug Development in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research at the U.S. FDA. The PFDD Program works with a broad range of stakeholders and subject matter experts to advance patient focused drug development efforts. In her role, Robyn is responsible for overseeing the development of a series of four methodological Patient-Focused drug development (PFDD) guidance documents to address, in a stepwise manner, how stakeholders can collect and submit patient experience data and other relevant information from patients and caregivers for medical product development and regulatory decision making. She is the lead of FDA’s Standard Core Sets of Clinical Outcome Assessments (COAs) and Related Endpoints Pilot Grant Program. She also is responsible for several ongoing efforts related to patient preference information. Robyn previously worked on ICH E8(R1).
