Richard Meyers leads the state policy function the state policy function within Bristol Myers Squibb’s US Policy & Government Affairs organization. As the Head of State Policy for BMS, Richard leads state policy management and analysis and sets policy strategies and priorities for BMS’ State Government Affairs team. Prior to BMS, Richard was the State Policy lead at AbbVie and before joining AbbVie, Richard held similar positions at Alkermes and Leavitt Partners. Richard began his health care career at Alston & Bird supporting the Health Care Legislative & Public Policy Group working with pharmaceutical companies, acute and post-acute care providers, and insurers. Richard holds a Juris Doctorate from the George Washington University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the George Washington University.
