Rebecca Godfrey

Dr Rebecca Godfrey is the COO at ExpressionEdits, a Cambridge-based biotechnology company optimizing protein expression using AI and proprietary intronization technology, where she provides strategic leadership across business, financial, and operational functions, overseeing commercial partnerships, pipeline commercial evaluation, and clinical development and regulatory strategy. Rebecca brings to ExpressionEdits 20+ years’ experience in roles across healthtech, pharma, biotech and academic research and has an extensive track record of building highly successful organizations covering all stages of the product lifecycle, across a wide variety of therapeutic modalities and in all regions worldwide. Rebecca has held Director / Global Head level roles at Roche, Eisai and AbbVie and more recently the role of COO at healthtech start-up, OKKO Health, and Research Chief of Staff for the clinical-stage gene therapy biotech, Freeline Therapeutics. Rebecca serves as Chair of the Board of Teens Unite fighting cancer, Board Trustee at Beacon for Rare Diseases, and is author of the best-selling book ‘The Leadership Vaccine: Drive innovation, increase efficiency and build resilience in highly regulated industries’. Rebecca completed her PhD in B cell immunology at the University of Cambridge.
