Dr. Pwu, is the CEO of the Data Science Center at Fu-Jen Catholic University and an adjunct Assistant Professor at Taipei Medical University. Trained as an epidemiologist. She developed expertise in research designs and analysis of large/claims databases. Her passion for economic evaluations in healthcare emerged during her early career. She joined the Taiwanese government and developed a health technology assessment (HTA) system. As the Director of the HTA Division, she played a key role in establishing a robust HTA system and conducting research. As the Director of Taiwan's National Hepatitis C Program Office between 2016 and 2023, Dr. Pwu orchestrated key advancements in strategic planning and the fostering of implementation strategies. Her period in office is distinguished by improved patient outcomes and the fortification of the healthcare infrastructure, showcasing her significant influence on public health. She has actively contributed to HTA at national and international levels, serving on the INAHTA Board and founding HTAsiaLink. Additionally, she has been a member of ISPOR since 2001, serving as a Board of Director from 2018 to 2021.
