Raja is a cybersecurity executive and strategic technologist who has built security programs from the ground up across biotech, pharma, aerospace & defense, and other highly regulated industries. As Vice President of Core Technologies and Security at Arcutis Biotherapeutics, he leads cybersecurity strategy, core infrastructure, and data platforms integrating data security and governance, AI enablement, and third-party risk management.
Raja has firsthand experience deploying and governing AI in a regulated biotech environment — building the policy frameworks, risk controls, and organizational training required to harness AI responsibly without compromising security or compliance. He brings a practitioner's perspective on the threat landscape targeting life sciences, including ransomware, state-sponsored actors pursuing research IP, and third-party exposure across clinical and commercial ecosystems.
Raja holds a master's in electrical and computer engineering from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification. He is an active member of ISACA and InfraGard.
