Over a career spanning 40 years, Peter Kurz has emerged as a leading financial commentator and analyst. He currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer at Quantum International Corporation (QIC) advising companies on accessing international capital markets. He was Head of Country Research and Managing Director of Citigroup Global Capital Markets (Taiwan) where he also served as Chairman. He served in similar roles prior to joining Citigroup, including in BNP Paribas, Merrill Lynch, ING Barings/Baring Securities, Bear Stearns and the Bank of Boston. Peter or his team have been top-ranked in surveys over the years by Institutional Investor, Euromoney and Asiamoney. In 1991, Peter also established the first foreign investment vehicle in Taiwan, known as a Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor, with an initial quota of US$50 million. Since 2012, Peter has taken a deeper focus on the emerging Biotech and Pharma sector, having been the first foreign analyst to initiate coverage of some of Taiwan’s leading companies. Peter earned his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and a Masters of International Affairs at Columbia University.
