Dr. Patrick Anquetil is the CEO of Portal Instruments and a recognized leader in bioengineering and medical device innovation. He is known for building world-class teams and guiding bioengineering ventures from early concept through clinical validation and commercial scale. Prior to founding Portal, he co-founded two medical diagnostics companies, SynapDx and Aretais. He began his career as an equity research analyst at Susquehanna International Group, where he authored and presented research to portfolio managers and hedge funds. Dr. Anquetil holds a Ph.D. in bio-instrumentation from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and master’s degrees from ETH Zurich and the University of Tokyo. He is an inventor on multiple patents, and his work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and featured in outlets including MIT Technology Review, Wired, PBS, and CNBC.
