With more than 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical field, Pam is a leader in scientific innovation. With a background in medicinal and organic chemistry, Pam spent 12 years working in the Infectious Disease research leading teams developing novel anti-infective treatments. She has authored numerous, peer-reviewed publications across multiple disease areas. Pam currently serves as the Head of Open Innovation at AstraZeneca which is focused on pioneering open collaborations with academic and industry partners. These platforms partner AstraZeneca medicines, tools, technologies and expertise with external researchers to advance scientific innovation and ultimately bring novel treatments to patients.
