Prior to joining the FBI, Supervisory Special Agent Nicholas Arico worked in the IT industry for 12 years as a Technical Manager in charge of Network Integration for a software development company in Tucson, Arizona. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona and recently completed his master’s degree in Cybersecurity Management and Policy from the University of Maryland Global Campus. He also holds numerous industry recognized cyber certifications. SSA Arico began his FBI agent career in 2004 and established the Fresno Area Cyber Crimes Task Force which brought federal state and local agencies detectives and investigators together to combat cybercrime. In 2008, he reported to the San Diego Field Office where he was assigned to their criminal cyber squad focusing on criminal computer intrusion matters. He spent two years at FBI Headquarters where he served as the Unit Chief for the Cyber Training and Logistics Unit and currently supervises the Cyber National Security Squad in the San Diego FBI field office.
