Natalie de Graaf, Vice President and General Manager, Data Analytics. API Innovation Center. Natalie de Graaf is the Vice President & General Manager of Data Analytics, AI, and ML Solutions for Health and National Security at the API Innovation Center (APIIC), where she leads efforts to harness data-driven solutions to accelerate biopharmaceutical innovation, strengthen domestic manufacturing ecosystems, and improve health security outcomes. Ms. de Graaf brings a unique cross-sector perspective spanning industry, the White House, and multiple federal agencies, with deep expertise in building resilient biopharmaceutical supply chains and advancing national preparedness. At the White House National Security Council, she served as Director for Biodefense and Biological Weapons Nonproliferation, where her portfolio included pharmaceutical supply chains, biotechnology policy, and international coordination on biodefense. Previously, at the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR), she played a central leadership role in developing and implementing the National Strategy for a Resilient Public Health Supply Chain, coordinating efforts across more than 20 federal agencies to strengthen domestic manufacturing capacity, improve supply chain visibility, and enhance surge readiness during crises. Her experience also includes senior roles at the Department of Defense and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where she led global initiatives to strengthen biosafety, biosecurity, and international health security systems—work that directly informs today’s challenges in scaling manufacturing, securing critical inputs, and reducing vulnerabilities in biopharmaceutical supply chains. At APIIC, she now focuses on integrating advanced analytics, AI, and cross-sector partnerships to enable faster, more resilient biomanufacturing and supply chain decision-making—bridging policy, technology, and industry execution to ensure readiness for future biological threats.
