Mustafa Noor, MD, FACP is CMO at Olatec Therapeutics and brings in 20+ years of industry experience in both large and small companies leading clinical development of numerous products for inflammatory, cardiometabolic, lipid, endocrine and rare diseases. Prior to Olatec, he served as Chief Development Officer at Akcea Therapeutics and VP and TA head for endocrinology at IPSEN. Dr. Noor began his career as medical director with BMS in 2001 where he contributed to clinical development of metabolic, cardiovascular and antiviral programs in positions of increasing responsibility. From 2006 to 2014 at GSK and at Pfizer he served as vice president and clinical head for GSK’s Center of Excellence in External Drug Discovery (CEEDD) and for Pfizer’s Centers for Therapeutic Innovation (CTI) focusing on open innovation, translational research and collaboration with biotech and academic partners on a portfolio of multiple early-stage programs in indications for inflammatory diseases including IBD, RA, Lupus and sarcoidosis. Dr. Noor completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Chicago and fellowship training in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).
