Dr. Michelle Chen is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Form Bio, a biotechnology company providing AI and bio-platforms to accelerate genetic medicine development and genome engineering. She is a biotech executive and board director with extensive global experience in leadership, business and corporate development, fundraising, operations, R&D, manufacturing, and commercialization across the life sciences sector. Before joining Form Bio, Dr. Chen served as Chief Business Officer at Insilico Medicine, where she led global business and corporate development, strategy, and partnerships. Earlier, she held senior leadership positions at WuXi Biologics, BioMarin, Merck & Co., and Roche, driving licensing, M&A, and partnership initiatives across oncology, rare diseases, immunology, and genetic medicine. Her career began in biotech R&D at Abgenix (now Amgen), and life science product management / marketing roles Agilent Technologies, and Applied Biosystems. Dr. Chen earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Washington, conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, San Francisco, and holds executive education credentials from Stanford University and Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She serves on the Board of Trustees at Bethany College, Cal Parents Board, and as a Venture Advisor at Genesis BioCapital. An experienced public speaker, she has participated in numerous international biotech conferences, including BIO International Convention, Bio-Europe, and LSX USA Congress.
