Michael Kingston is a Managing Director at Lazard, serving as the Global Co-Head of BioPharma and Co-Head of North American Healthcare. Based in San Francisco, he leads a wide spectrum of financial advisory engagements across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, and life sciences tools sectors. His transaction experience spans strategic assignments such as mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, alliances, joint ventures, and take-private transactions. He has also played key roles in capital raising, shareholder activism, and financial restructuring initiatives. Before joining Lazard, Michael managed clinical trial programs for pharmaceutical and biotech companies, giving him a strong foundation in both the scientific and commercial aspects of the industry. Michael holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry (Honors) from the University of Western Ontario.
