Mary Stutts brings twenty-five years of extensive global perspective leading strategic transformations in the face of rapid technology and market changes for Fortune 500 healthcare, consumer and media companies including Genentech, Bayer, Comcast NBCUniversal, UnitedHealth Group, Bristol Myers Squibb, Kaiser Permanente and Stanford Healthcare.
Currently, Stutts is the CEO of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA), a global organization with locations in 80 countries on six continents focused on the advancement and impact of women in business to ensure they are a leading voice for the solutions to global challenges. HBA’s corporate partners collectively represent over six million employees. Beyond the organization’s nearly five decades of foundational work, Stutts leads the HBA’s expanded remit to champion women’s health equity and innovation while leveraging women’s global consumer power and influence, and as the majority of the healthcare workforce.
Stutts is a seasoned advisory board member of venture backed and private equity companies. Previously she served on the board of directors and Nominating/Governance Committee for Zogenix [NASDAQ: ZGNX], acquired by UCB in 2022.
Stutts earned a Master of Health Administration degree at the University of Southern California and is a graduate of the Executive Program on Strategy and Organization at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
