Mary Beth Cicero is Co-Founder and CEO of 3Daughters, a clinical development company focused on Evolutionary Healthcare for Women. The first evolution is a newly designed nonhormonal frameless intrauterine device (IUD) for contraception. The magnetic frameless delivery platform is combined with a patented Slider™ system for insertion and retrieval to address the significant insertion pain of the outdated plastic T-shape frame of current IUDs. The ‘fear factor’ resulting from this pain scares women away from selecting one of the most effective forms of birth control. Ms. Cicero has over 40 years of executive leadership roles and was formerly President of MarketSense Ltd., a consulting firm specializing in Healthcare Marketing & Business Development and worked with over 100 clients. Her previous positions include Vice President of Business Development at two biotechnology companies and heading up U.S. marketing for Women’s Health at Serono Labs (now EMD Serono). Ms. Cicero is Adjunct Professor at the University of the Pacific, teaching a course “Marketing Principles and Applications for Pharma Entrepreneurs” at the Jie Du Center for Innovation. She is a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Licensing Executives Society (LES) and was involved in test development for the Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) program. She was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Psoriasis Foundation and served as Treasurer. Ms. Cicero is on the Board of Directors of InnovaGyn. Her educational background includes a BS in Biology cum laude from Boston College and an MBA from Babson College.
