Marco Mavilla is a senior international executive specializing in cross-border investment, global finance, and economic development. He currently serves as Head of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) for the United States at the Italian Trade Agency, where he leads efforts to attract and facilitate U.S. investment into Italy.
In this role, Mr Mavilla advises multinational corporations, institutional investors, and high-growth companies on market entry strategies, regulatory frameworks, and access to government incentives, strengthening Italy’s position as a destination for American capital and innovation.
Prior to this, he was Senior Vice President and International Banking Manager at Bank of the West in Los Angeles, where he managed international banking operations and advised high-net-worth clients and global businesses on foreign exchange, credit, and cross-border financial strategies.
He previously worked as an International Trade Analyst at the Italian Trade Agency in Los Angeles and began his career as an international criminal lawyer in Milan.
Mavilla brings a unique combination of legal, financial, and institutional expertise, fostering strategic investment and transatlantic partnerships between the United States and Italy.
