Manuela Alanis, MSc

CEO
Odycell
Manuela Alanis holds an MSc in Bioengineering and has nearly a decade of experience designing and developing innovative biotech and medical devices. She has led multidisciplinary teams from early concept through reproducible prototyping, with hands-on experience in quality and regulatory responsibilities. At the startup Caspr, Manuela collaborated on the development of a point-of-care COVID-19 diagnostic platform. This work contributed to Caspr’s acquisition by Amazon, where she continued as a biomedical engineer and was named inventor on three U.S. patents. She later joined Stamm, where she led a cross-functional R&D team on the development of a novel microfluidic device for the biomanufacturing industry, advancing the technology from concept to TRL 5, while managing project timelines, budgets, and key stakeholders. In parallel with her industry career, Manuela has pursued entrepreneurial initiatives. One of her early projects—the development of a screening device for autism spectrum disorder—earned her a formal distinction from the Buenos Aires Parliament for its technological and social impact. As CEO of Odycell, Manuela combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills, driving the development of clinically relevant and scalable technologies at the intersection of cell therapy, nanotechnology, and advanced manufacturing.
