Liz Carter is Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy and Head of M&A and Partnering at Acadia Pharmaceuticals. A member of Acadia’s leadership team, she is responsible for advancing the company’s business development strategy, including sourcing, structuring and executing complex licensing, collaboration, and M&A deals.
Liz brings two decades of experience across biotech and pharmaceuticals, spanning businessdevelopment, strategy, and operations. She began her career as a deal lawyer focused on global life sciences transactions. Liz holds a J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and a B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology, with a concentration in Cell and Developmental Biology, from the University of California, Berkeley.
