Dr. Zhang graduated from Jilin University with a doctoral degree in immunology. From 2008 to 2012, Dr. Zhang did a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University studying cancer immunology and immunotherapy. Dr. Zhang is the first cancer researcher to propose the new concept that tumor-induced immune disorder is the root cause of cancer cachexia and death, also a pioneer to develop life-saving cancer treatments through targeting the immune disorder.
