Leo Bolero, PhD

Leo Bolero is Co-Founder and CCO at Proseek Bio, where he is pioneering a new class of diagnostics based on glycoproteomics to transform how disease is detected, stratified, and treated. With a PhD in AI and formal training from Stanford, Leo has spent his career at the intersection of machine learning, mass spectrometry, and clinical medicine, including leading regulatory strategy and securing multiple FDA clearances for advanced diagnostic technologies—among them the first life-critical real-time transcriptomic test powered by machine learning. His work has consistently pushed the boundaries of regulatory frameworks for AI-driven medical devices, working directly with the FDA to establish precedents in emerging areas. At Proseek, he is translating this experience into a scalable platform that captures disease biology more directly than DNA-based approaches, enabling next-generation companion diagnostics and unlocking new opportunities in drug development.
