Dr. Kimberly Myers is a leader in Deloitte’s science and healthcare practice, with nearly 20 years of experience working with health and science clients. Dr. Myers is a strategist who has experience managing large, complex biomedical science and translational research programs; coordinating and leading the build of large technology solutions to advance translational research; and building strategic partnerships between governmental agencies, rare and orphan disease groups, advocacy organizations, and commercial entities. In her former job with the National Institutes of Health/National Cancer Institute, she led the development of plans, policies, funding opportunities, and procedures on behalf of national biobanking efforts in support of precision medicine. Additionally, she aided in the development of innovation ecosystems, consisting of governmental, commercial, and nonprofit organizations, and novel small business funding opportunities. Dr. Myers currently focuses on data strategy, innovation and enterprise strategy, and disruptors enabling exponential change in the healthcare market.
Dr. Myers is a scientist by training, holding a PhD in Virology from Harvard University and a BS in Biology (with microbiology emphasis) from Middle Tennessee State University. After completing her PhD, she spent five years at the National Institutes of Health (National Cancer Institute), building and managing national research programs. Kim joined Deloitte in 2011, working across the health and science market. She currently leads the Health Nonprofit Account, delivering work that supports the mission of health/science foundations and associations, disease-focused nonprofits, and professional scientific societies and boards.
