Kelly Cappio is Vice President, Global Policy and Government Affairs, at Novavax. She leads the development and execution of public policy initiatives that support vaccine access, availability, and innovation across the globe, and her team is based in North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Kelly represents the company in a range of external forums, including as an executive board member of Vaccines Europe and as vice-chair of the Vaccines Committee of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA). She has fifteen years of experience working in the biopharmaceutical sector with a particular focus on the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases as well as pandemic preparedness and response. She has held previous roles at Avalere Health, the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), and Sanofi. Kelly earned a master of public health degree from George Washington University and a bachelor of arts degree in international affairs from the University of Colorado at Boulder, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. She lives in North Carolina with her husband and three children.
