Katy Grainger is a globally recognized speaker and patient advocate who transformed a life-altering bout with septic shock, resulting in multiple amputations, into a powerful mission for change. As a sepsis awareness educator, she has delivered impactful keynote presentations for Sepsis Alliance and major international medical conferences, bridging the gap between clinical providers and patients. A dedicated member of the Board of Directors for Sepsis Alliance and a Lead Advocate and Certified Peer Visitor for the Amputee Coalition, Katy’s work has reached millions through viral educational content and features in national publications, news shows, and podcasts. She champions early detection and empowers the sepsis and limb-loss communities, demonstrating that while sepsis changed her body, it could not suppress her spirit.
