Josh Fessel, MD, PhD, ATSF is the Senior Vice President of Clinical Innovations at Dyania Health. He is a physician-scientist with 20+ years of experience spanning across multiple sectors. With a PhD in pharmacology and specialty training as a pulmonary/critical care physician, he has led clinical teams, research teams, and strategic development in academic medical centers, in Veterans Affairs medical centers, at the National Institutes of Health, and now in the private sector. Josh was a faculty member at Vanderbilt University Medical Center before moving to the NIH, rising through the ranks to become the Chief Medical Officer and Director of the Office of Translational Medicine at the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences. He then moved into the role of SVP of Clinical Innovations at Dyania Health (https://dyaniahealth.com ). Accelerating the discovery to implementation lifecycle through innovative uses of clinical data including AI-enabled initiatives and workflows has been a part of his approach in all his positions, ensuring that ethics and equity are always part of a patient-centered mission. Josh has co-authored 90+ peer-reviewed publications and is a sought after speaker on translational science and bioethics.
