Joni L. Rutter, PhD — Director of the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) at the NIH, Dr. Rutter leads cross-cutting efforts to accelerate translation of discoveries into therapies—especially in rare disease contexts.
Previously, she served as Deputy Director of NCATS, Director of Scientific Programs for the NIH All of Us Research Program, and as head of the Division of Neuroscience & Behavior at NIDA—bringing experience in genetics, translational science, and programmatic leadership to her current role.
