Dr. Jon Soderstrom is Senior Director of Yale Ventures and Senior Counsel at Wilson Sonsini, bringing decades of experience in academic technology transfer and venture creation. Formerly Managing Director of Yale’s Office of Cooperative Research, he has overseen the formation of more than 100 startups based on Yale innovations, including companies acquired by Gilead, Biogen, and Bristol Myers Squibb. Soderstrom has served as past president of AUTM and is widely regarded for shaping national policy on academic commercialization. His leadership has helped universities navigate IP strategy, investor partnerships, and evolving models of translational impact.
