Jon Snyder is a Senior Advisor in Elanco’s External Innovation team, where he seeks to bridge internal and external scientific opportunities with academic, biotech, and large pharma partners. Prior to joining the External Innovation Team, Jon spent 10 years leading Elanco’s Discovery Biologics and Discovery Virology teams, focused on conceptualization and reduction to practice of new innovation in the therapeutic biologics for chronic disease as well as veterinary infectious disease spaces, including Zoonotic Disease. Jon holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Virology from Purdue University, where he focused on virus structure-function, using positive-strand RNA viruses as model systems, and is also a Registered US Patent Agent. He was a post-doctoral fellow with the Mayo Clinic and Roche Virology pRED, studying Hepatitis B and Oncolytic Viruses, prior to joining Elanco.
