Jinbae Son, PhD

Dr. Jinbae Son is the Director and Head of Research & Business Development at CNCure Co., Ltd., leading translational research and global partnerships to advance next‑generation cancer immunotherapies. He earned his PhD from the University of Melbourne (Oncology Department, Peter MacCallum Cancer Center) and has held postdoctoral research positions at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) as well as research roles at Janssen Vaccines & Prevention B.V. (formerly Crucell). During his doctoral research, Dr. Son investigated the mechanisms of RNA polymerase I inhibitors, including CX-5461, contributing to several high-impact publications in journals such as PNAS, Nature Communications, and Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology. After transitioning to industry, he co-authored a review in Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology on the role of the intratumoural microbiota in cancer pathogenesis and therapy. At CNCure, Dr. Son leads translational research and the development of next-generation immunotherapy platforms for cancer treatment. Under his leadership, CNCure is advancing innovative therapeutic pipelines and forging strategic global partnerships. Dr. Son regularly represents CNCure at major international conferences, sharing the company’s latest scientific and clinical advances and fostering collaborations within the global biotech community, and co‑authored a Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology.
