Jenn Klotz
Senior Local Government Affairs and Community Engagement Lead,
Genentech Inc.
Known for her "superpower" of connecting people, Jenn is the 2025 Oregon Bio Woman of the Year and a 17-year veteran of Genentech. Jenn currently leads Local Government Affairs and Community Engagement in Oregon, where she bridges the gap between community needs, the life sciences industry and policymakers. As a leader in local engagement, Jenn specializes in building the community-to-industry pipelines that are vital for today's workforce initiatives.
Jenn’s perspective on championing inclusion and community impact is shaped by her own personal experiences and her deep roots in Portland, Oregon. Honored with the 2019 Athena Women’s Leadership Award, Jenn finds her greatest reward in mentoring the next generation of leaders and giving back to the community that inspires her. Whether she’s volunteering as an advocate for foster youth as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) or a member of many non-profit boards, Jenn brings an authentic energy to what she is passionate about.
When she isn’t building bridges in biotech, you can find her exploring Oregon’s wine country, tending to her NW garden or cheering on her two grown sons. Jenn is a passionate advocate, skilled spokesperson, and active change agent dedicated to contributing both to the Biotech industry and the community she lives in.
