Jeff Reczek

Jeff joined TDY in December 2025 after serving over 16 years advancing health budget and policy initiatives on the Hill and in the Executive branch. Most recently, he served as Director of CDC Washington at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a key advisor to the CDC director, while working with other agency senior leadership and Administration officials to develop and support the agency’s priorities in Congress and within the broader public health community. Prior to his time at the CDC, Jeff served for five years as a senior staffer on the Senate Appropriations Committee's Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Subcommittee. In this role, he negotiated annual appropriations and conducted oversight of Health and Human Services operating divisions including the CDC, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response, and the Office of the Secretary. He also played a key role in numerous supplementals, including COVID-19 funding that provided hundreds of billions for vaccines, public health, and health care providers. Prior to his time on the Committee, Jeff served in the Health Division at the Office of Management and Budget where he developed annual submissions of the President's Budget for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, as well as the HHS Office of the Secretary.
