Jeevan Virk has been working in external beam radiation therapy and radiopharmaceuticals for the past 16 years. His obsession with combining these two modalities lead to a collaboration with Advanced Accelerator Applications, a pioneer in the field, and subsequent acquisition of his UK based company, IEL. He held various roles with Advanced Accelerator Applications through the early development and subsequent commercialization of Lutathera. Advanced Accelerator Applications was acquired by Novartis in 2018 for $3.9b, following which he held a GM role for a cluster of countries and global radioligand therapy leadership roles. He currently leads the therapeutic area strategy team as Therapeutic Area Strategy Head, which includes responsibilities for internal pipeline and inorganic opportunities.
