Jarrett Eshima earned his bachelors and Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Arizona State University. As a doctoral student, he specialized in systems biology, bioinformatics, and metabolomics as a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and ASU Completion Fellow. During his graduate studies Dr. Eshima led two major projects, identifying molecular subtypes in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and developing a novel culture vessel to improve the recovery of volatile metabolites in vitro. Dr. Eshima has published eight peer-reviewed articles and filed four patent applications. After graduating with his Ph.D. in May 2024, he co-founded Airobes a few months later, with the goal of leveraging his background in metabolomics and systems biology to develop a biotechnology system to capture and utilize carbon waste.
